Alumni Awards | Nominations
The CUNY Graduate Center invites you to nominate outstanding alumni who have distinguished themselves through significant contributions in their fields—whether academic, public, private, or nonprofit. Nominations from previous years will also be considered alongside new submissions.
Your nomination plays a vital role in helping us recognize and celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of Graduate Center alumni. Thank you for your time and commitment.
Instructions for Nominators:
When submitting your nomination, please include as much detail as possible to help the committee understand the impact the nominee’s work has had on their field. In particular, we ask that you:

Provide a clear and compelling statement explaining why this individual
deserves recognition. Consider describing, for example, one or more of the following:
- Major career accomplishments, including any honors or recognition
- Significance of their contributions to their field or society
- Impactful leadership or service
- Submit supporting materials, if available. These may include:
- A nomination letter providing a summary for the committee
- A resume or CV of the nominee
- One or more letters of support from colleagues or peers
