The Proud Educator Institute is a two-day gathering designed for LGBTQIA+ educators to rest, recharge, and connect. Hosted by Proud Educators at Brooklyn College's School of Education, in partnership with CLAGS, this institute creates a safe and joyful space where participants can share experiences, exchange tools and strategies, and build lasting solidarity.

Through a mix of practical workshops, strategic conversations, and community-building activities, the Institute supports educators in embracing their full identities while preparing for the school year ahead. This year’s gathering focuses on cultivating resilience and confidence, and on strengthening our collective capacity to create inclusive, supportive environments for ourselves, our colleagues, and our students.
